Welcome to the Greatest Adventure of Your Life!
200-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING
🌿 30 Days to Return to the Origin
We will spend 30 days immersed in nature, in deep connection with our soul, fully dedicated to the study of vinyasa yoga, far away from all distractions.
During this time, the body will be nourished with five light and balanced meals each day, prepared with healthy, fresh ingredients filled with intention. Cooked with love—to sustain us without weighing us down.
We will sleep in a natural sanctuary, in a protected space dedicated to the conservation of the ecosystem. We will learn to inhabit the Earth with respect, to live in harmony with the rhythms of the environment, and to observe—with new eyes—our relationship with Mother Nature.
We will explore the practice of asanas with attention and presence, and we will learn to build a Vinyasa Yoga class from scratch: creative, safe, and accessible for all levels. We will also study the yogic lifestyle and dive inward through introspective exercises.
We will challenge ourselves gently, stepping outside our comfort zone without violence, through physical practices and inner work that awaken, cleanse, and reveal.
🌍 A Sanctuary Without Borders
This training takes place at VY Sanctuary, a location that is both magical and real: by the sea, among Mayan ruins and living mangroves, where the heat and humidity of the tropics remind us that we are alive. A safe space, free of stress and violence, yet deeply connected to the world.
In a time marked by division—by racism, sexism, intolerance, and the imaginary borders that separate us—our mission is the opposite: to promote unity. To promote YOGA in its purest sense.
That’s why this training is bilingual and lovingly inclusive. The program is taught in English, but you are welcome to speak either English or Spanish freely. We provide continuous translation and a teaching team fluent in both languages, offering warmth and clarity. You’re even invited to practice your second language during activities and, if you feel ready, to teach your first classes in it.
Here, your country of origin, skin color, religious beliefs, economic status, language, sexual orientation, political views—or whether you love or hate football—don’t matter.
Here, we respect you. We support you. And you are fully welcome.
In other words: WE ALREADY LOVE YOU. And we’re simply inviting you to love us back.
✨ VY Vinyasa Yoga: A System with a Mexican Soul
VY Vinyasa Yoga was born in 2009, under the sky of Monterrey, Nuevo León, as a living system in constant evolution—one that honors tradition while embracing the creative freedom of conscious movement.
Today, this lineage flows through many schools and teachers around the world, continuing to expand like a seed sprouting in hearts ready to awaken.
We are registered with Yoga Alliance as RYS 200 and RYS 300, which places us among the best internationally certified schools for yoga teacher training.
Leading the project are Hernán (Ors) Gutiérrez as General Director and Marina Porras as Administrative Director. Both hold the highest levels of certification recognized by Yoga Alliance: E-RYT 500, RYT 500, and YACEP. This allows them not only to train yoga teachers, but also to guide practitioners of all levels, offer workshops and masterclasses, and plant seeds of knowledge wherever light is needed.
In addition, we have a team of VY Lead Trainers—seasoned instructors with advanced certifications (E-RYT 200 / RYT 500) who lead workshops, classes, and training programs with the same commitment, respect, and openness.
At VY Vinyasa Yoga, yoga is for everyone: regardless of age, background, social class, skin color, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Here, the only requirement is a genuine desire to grow.
🌱 A Journey Rooted in Trust
Since its founding, VY Vinyasa Yoga has accompanied hundreds of practitioners on their path of transformation, graduating over 60 generations of RYT 200 and more than 20 generations of RYT 500, through intensive individual and group programs, and carefully designed modular formats.
With over a decade of experience guiding deep and personalized processes, we’ve become one of the most highly regarded schools in the country.
In official Yoga Alliance surveys, our programs have consistently received a 95% satisfaction rating from our graduates, year after year.
A clear reflection of the love, quality, and commitment behind each training program.
Because VY Vinyasa Yoga’s training program, more than a certification, it is a path of transformation. A journey to yourself. A return to the heart.
🌺 Living Yoga Beyond the Mat
At VY Vinyasa Yoga, we promote an authentic yogic lifestyle, rooted in a constant personal practice—physical, mental, and spiritual—that is lived day by day, moment by moment.
We’ve created an atmosphere where each member can flourish: a space that nurtures the integral development of body, mind, and soul. Here, every person is honored with respect and dignity.
Our team is in ongoing training, staying up to date not only in yoga, but also in topics that impact today’s society. We learn to serve better. We study to live more consciously.
Our mission is clear and profound: to take yoga as far as possible, practicing and teaching asana with responsibility, every single day, with presence and care.
We follow the principles of the Yamas and Niyamas not as external rules, but as an inner compass that guides each step, each word, each breath.
Our deepest wish is to touch hearts, plant seeds of awareness, and leave behind a kinder world for those who come after us.
And we do it all under the mantra that pulses at the center of VY Vinyasa Yoga:
SHANTI · MAITRI · MUKTI / PEACE · LOVE · FREEDOM
📘 VYTT200: A 200-Hour Journey Toward Conscious Teaching
We offer an intensive 200-hour teacher training in vinyasa yoga, fully bilingual and designed for those who wish to teach in both English and Spanish, as well as for anyone seeking a profound multicultural experience.
This training program provides students with the foundation and knowledge needed to become yoga teachers—able to guide vinyasa yoga classes safely, professionally, and compassionately, both for others and for their own personal practice.
The program is grounded in a modern yogic lifestyle, inspired by the principles of Ashtanga Yoga found in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and is enriched with introspective tools and meditation practices for self-knowledge.
The VYTT200 is carefully divided into distinct sections, each considered essential for the formation of a well-rounded yoga teacher.
From building safe sequences to exploring ethics, philosophy, and the authentic expression of the self… every element here is designed as a real journey of transformation.
🤲 The Experience Is Co-Created by All of Us
To this day, more than 90% of those who’ve lived this training program describe it as: enriching, unique, beautiful, unrepeatable, transformative… and many other adjectives that still fall short of capturing the full experience.
At VY Vinyasa Yoga, we know that the experience doesn’t depend solely on us. The true power of this training comes from the spirit of the ones who experience it: from their openness, their commitment, and their willingness to flow in community and to plant seeds of enthusiasm, to support themselves and others with a positive, proactive, and radiant attitude.
It is that energy—genuine and collective—that transforms this training program into one of life’s most powerful experiences.
And at the same time, into a shared blessing for everyone in the group.
Here, every person is part of the sacred fire that breathes life into the process.
🌴 An Intimate Space Between Jungle and Sea
The 200-hour VY Vinyasa Yoga Training takes place at VY Sanctuary, our retreat center near Punta Xen, just 15 minutes from downtown Champotón and 45 minutes from the city of Campeche.
Here, among mangroves, sea, and sky, a space is born where time slows down and the soul awakens.
The group is limited to just 12 students, because we believe in closeness, in personalized attention, in deep care.
Each person is unique, and that is how we wish to accompany them: with presence, with listening, and with respect for their path.

🎓 The Importance of an International Certification
In the world of yoga—just like in life—there are paths learned through experience, through the craft passed down from teacher to student, body to body, heart to heart.
And that—no one denies—is sacred.
A good teacher can be shaped through years of practice and devotion, just like a great builder can raise a house with their own hands, never having set foot in a university. Their work speaks for itself.
But just as a certified architect can work professionally anywhere in the world, a yoga teacher certified by a Yoga Alliance Registered School (RYS) carries an international validation: a seal that transcends the local fame of their teacher, their school, or their country.
When you study a training program that is not certified by Yoga Alliance, the reach of your diploma ends where your teacher’s reputation ends. And if that teacher is little known outside their city, your certificate will carry that same limit.
Yoga Alliance, on the other hand, is the most recognized global organization for regulating yoga teacher training programs. Schools registered under their standards—like VY Vinyasa Yoga—adhere to a clear, structured, ethical, and rigorous curriculum that ensures the teacher in training receives a comprehensive and professional education.
Once you graduate and register your diploma with Yoga Alliance, your certification becomes valid worldwide.
Just like I—Ors—have been able to teach from California to Thailand thanks to this endorsement, you will be able to do it too. Not because of fame. But because you’ve been trained under a system the world recognizes.
At VY Vinyasa Yoga, we deeply believe that giving you this tool is part of our commitment to you. It’s not about bureaucracy or ego. It’s about opening the doors of the world with confidence, clarity, and responsibility.
So that wherever you go, you can share this practice with truth… and be recognized for what you are: a yoga teacher.

- RYS 500: Schools that combine both 200- and 300-hour programs to offer a complete 500-hour teacher training.
- RCYS: Schools specialized in children’s yoga, offering 95-hour programs.

👩🏫 Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT – Registered Yoga Teacher)

✨ An Invitation from the Heart of the Sanctuary
You’ve read about our program, our teachers, our story. We’ve told you about yoga, about teaching, about the art of sharing what transforms.
But now we want to speak to you from a different place: from the silence of the mangrove, from the shore where waves are born, from this living space we call VY Sanctuary.
Here, on the southern coast of Campeche—where once the Mayas walked and pirates raised their flags— today stands a sanctuary dedicated to awareness, connection, and the preservation of the sacred Mayan land. Land of buried stories. Living land.
Today, this very ground is home to mangroves we protect, to sea turtles we care for,
and to a training center that honors the lineage of yoga with love and responsibility.
Here, yoga is not only studied, it’s experienced. It’s inhaled and exhaled between the branches, meditated with the song of birds, taught as one tends to a flower—with strength and sweetness.
Here, the anatomy of the body is explored alongside the architecture of the soul. We walk guided by philosophy as compass and practice as root.
Here, mindfulness is not just a technique—it’s the way we serve tea, wash dishes, and listen to the wind.
VY Vinyasa Yoga has formed entire generations of teachers with an integrated, human-centered approach. But now, at VY Sanctuary, we do so from an even deeper place: a place where nature is the teacher, where fire is the ceremony, and where each step reminds us that yoga doesn’t begin on the mat— it begins the moment we choose to live with intention.
This is not a retreat. This is not just a training program. It is a sacred pause in the middle of the world’s noise. It is a call to those who want to teach themselves before teaching others. It is an invitation to awaken, to remember, to belong.
Come. We await you in this ancient land that still holds treasures beneath the sand. We await you with open doors, clear eyes, and a heart ready to receive. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, what language you speak, or how many poses you can do.
Here, we already love you. And all we ask is that you come live this one-of-a-kind experience with us: a yoga training program, yes… but also a life transformation endeavor.
